Event Guidelines for Chabad Center for Jewish Life

Kosher Standards: We kindly ask that all food provided be Cholov Yisroel, Pas Yisroel, and Glatt Kosher. Please refer to our recommended list of caterers.
Wine Requirements: Please ensure that all wine served is Kosher Mevushal.
Shabbat Observance: For events held during Shabbat (from Friday at sunset until Saturday nightfall), please make arrangements for all flowers, decorations, food, and any other necessary items to be delivered before Shabbat begins. Please note that photography and audiovisual usage are not permitted during Shabbat.
Set-up and Clean-up: Chabad will take care of the basic set-up (tables and chairs) and will also sweep and vacuum after the event. We ask that you and/or your caterers handle any additional clean-up, including removing centerpieces.
Caterer Coordination: Please have your caterer complete and submit this form to our office at least one week before your event.
Table Arrangements: If you’d like specific table arrangements, kindly provide a diagram at least 5 days before the event.
Music Selection: We encourage music selections to focus on Jewish or Israeli tunes to enhance the atmosphere.
Dance Guidelines: We ask that mixed-gender dancing be avoided to maintain a traditional environment.
Catering Delivery: If your event includes drop-off catering, please arrange for your own waitstaff, linens, and paper goods. Be sure to have someone present to receive and store the food upon delivery.
Liability: By acknowledging these guidelines, you understand that any injuries sustained or waivers invoked on Chabad premises are not the responsibility of the organization.
